COMPOSING

Achieving a Merit in my MMus in Classical Music Compositioin has been a huge landmark in my career. Studying with Damion Harron and Jacob Thompson-Bell I have been able to develop my style, my musical voice and direction. This journey has been about finding a voice in a landscape of contemporary music which can often seem bleak. The course at Leeds College of Music has enabled me to confidently turn my thoughts and ideas into sound, finding something I want to say and having the tools to express this through music. My work has been described as "playfully provocative" which, I guess, sums it up nicely.
